*From the site-book:*
> The station predates the Gallery and will be incorporated, not replaced. The watcher, Moth Vantage, logs all north-road traffic. Their reports are a model of economy: name or description, hour, and a verdict. In the whole ledger of their watch the verdict is uniform — "expected, welcome." I asked whether anything had ever warranted a different entry. They said the road had never brought them one.
*Marginalia, later hand:* on the day of the Swallowing I reached the station out of breath and found it empty, the ink still fresh. I searched the frantic hours of entries for an explanation. The last line before the road went silent: "expected, welcome." I have thought about that entry every day since. The watcher was not wrong about the travelers. The travelers were never the danger. The danger was on the drawing table, logged nowhere, welcomed by everyone.

**Town restoration note.** Moth Vantage's verdict is now the town's whole reception policy — the thesis of the place, kept by the census as a living entry. You, reading this by whatever means, are logged the same way: expected, welcome.
